Yellow striped cardinal fish addition.

Saludos all. Not sure if this is where to post as I am new to this forum.

I have a 225 gallon tank currently housing;

7.5" Naso tang (friendly)

5" ancient finless yellow tang

Pair of fully grown pajama cardinals

2.5" royal gramma

4.5" coral beauty

3" mandarin (old, fat, happy.)

I would like to add some yellow striped cardinal fish because I have heard they get along very peacefully in groups? Could I add 6-8 of these guys and still have room for the harem of McCoskers flasher wrasses (3 fems one male) that I plan to add? Could I safely add a ruby red dragonet or am I getting overly ambitious?

The tank has a lot of flow (ReeFlo dart hybrid at 6' head, 1900gph recirc pump) and my skimming does a fabulous job of keeping waste at bay. There is also a 20gal refugium I regularly stock with pods even though it's brimming anyway. I have 2 peppermint shrimp in the fuge to control aiptasia.

Water parameters are great per salifert tests

1.025sal

400ppm calcium

8.3ph

Calcium carbonate hardness of 9

1200 ppm magnesium

20-30 ppm nitrAte (still dropping slowly through water changes)

0 nitrite

0 ammonia

.05ppm phosphate (hopefully lower today, did a water change with 0 measurable phosphate in my rodi water.)

Temp is at 82 steady but I can't run my 2 250 MH lights at all even with my 1/4 horse chiller so I will be switching the chiller to a 1hp.

The tank is ten years old and I have owned it for the last two years. It came with my house!!! On July 29th my big lunar wrasse died tragically so I decided to start into corals. I now have four "test" corals that look pretty happy.
