Feed dwarf seahorses

I am starting a five gallon seahorse tank and I wants to know what to feed thim. I've read a lot online about how you feed them live brine shrimp. And I also read that you have to hatch them yourself. But when I went to the LPS, they said you can just feed him anything if they are captive bred. Is this true? I would like help ASAP.
