So since I have moved most of my coral to the new 300 I have noticed a color shift in my sps...the ones towards the top were slightly bleaching so I took an hour off of the photoperiod and it seems to have stopped but my main concern is that all of the sps seem to be shifting to a bland brown color instead of the vibrant bright colors they had before
Info on the system..the coral were in a frag tank before being moved into this tank which is hooked into the same system as the dt and they were under a 175 watt Phoenix 14 k halide which btw is a lot bluer to the eye than the dt lighting
The dt has 3 400 watt reeflux 12 ks which have a nice crisp white color and I don't have actinics as of now...so could this "loss of color" be from not having any actinics or do I have too much lighting on them?? Obviously the ones turning really light color or white in spots is bleaching I get that but even the ones lower in the tank are losing their colored tips and shifting to brown?? No way I don't have enough light so I'm stumped??
