Nano Reef tank keepers question?

I'm seeing alot of nano reef vids on youtube what is a nano reef a 10g tank? how does one go about starting it becuz im about to move my freshwater fish into a 20 gal from my 10 gal and id love to start a nano reef of my ow. thanks
