So I have a 90G Aqueon with a mega flow durso kit and a 20 gallon sump with two baffles. I originally plumbed it with 3/4 rigid pvc and got a ton of bubbles in the overflow area of the sump. I changed over to 1 5/8 OD clear vinyl tubing and had to twist the tube to get it in the sump. By doing this, the tube is twisted and just before it goes into the sump, the tube is squished. It looks like a narrow oval now.
There are no bubbles but no matter what I do, I can't raise the water level in the return chamber. (Mag drive 7). If I pulled the durso standpipe, the water doesn't drain any faster. I was thinking of putting 1 1/2" rigid pvc with a reverse durso to open up the drain but don't want the bubbles again. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Oh and I have 48" of 3/4" vinyl tubing going up about 3'. The tube runs horizontal then up to the drain.
