Mixing Hammer Corals?

I've been seeing mixes of purple/gold/green hammer polyps in what looks to be the same skeleton in pictures on Google.



I'm curious if anyone knows how that happens? would you just take multiple colors and place them next to each other and hope they grow together? or are they a different breed altogether?
