First time dealing with power outage

Last night was the first time I dealt with an extended power outage. I hurried up and ran down to work to get a Battery backup ups . I brought it home and plugged in the power heads. The power went out at 5pm. I knew it might be awhile because they were saying power would be back on by 1130 at first. I ended up just plugging in my two power heads for about 10-15 minutes every hour. Once the backup In between i would go down and scoop water out of the tank and pour it back in from about a foot about the tank. This caused air bubbles to get into the tank which i figured is what i wanted to keep the water oxygenated.

Power came back on around 12. Is there anything i need to worry about today. My blue damsel doesnt look to great this morning, my 6 line wrasse wasnt looking great.. then i couldnt find him. hopefully just hiding somewhere.

My clown looks perfectly fine, all my corals look ok besides devils hand which is deflated now.

Now my question for you guys is did i do all the right things? Anything anyone suggests doing in case something like this happens again.

My wife (who sometimes worries about my spending on the tank) wants me to get my own battery backup so everything will remain ok if the power goes out but she knows how much time i have put into the tank and knows how upset i would be if everything ended up dying.

Anybody have any suggestions?
