I did several power outage test on my tank. The loss of power is no problem! But when I turn power back on the pump goes crazy and starts to drain my sump. This causes my ATO to kick in and possibly cause an over flow.
I need to cycle the pump on/off until it starts to work normally. (average about 3x)
Why does it do this? How does the flow rate increase so drastically when I turn the power back on?
Is this normal or should I buy a different return pump?
The last thing I want is a flood because the return pump went crazy and drained my RO/DI reserve and my sump.
