All mathameticians please help

HI, i need some help with measuring out a pump.i have a fowlr and a reef tank on the first floor of my house, and my ro system is in my basement right below the fish room. i do partial water changes every 2 weeks on both tanks, which works out to be 8 trips back and forth from basement to first floor not to mention hardwood flooring that gets soaked. i keep reserve water in a 30 gallon pail in basement which sits on top of a 2 foot stand. my plan is to add pump to pail and send water up to first floor into another container to make a mix the night before water changes. ive checked multiple websites for pump sizes and head pressure, but they are only giving me sizes from sump to tank. im going to run hose from pump inside pail, up about 5' and across about 12' to reach container on first floor. i was thinking a swimming pool sump pump, or a pond pump which are listed at 3000 gph. any ideas? thanks in advance;)
