Well I did it. Bought me a Tunze 3155 tonight. Leaving town for 4 days and this time fish are in the tank unlike last time it was cycling. Hope it's the bees knees like everyone says.
I really want to put it in the basement but have too high of a head for now. Will just use a 5-gallon bucket under the stand and put the sensor in the sump and the filler hose in the DT.
