Sand

Hi all,

I'm setting up a tank and I'm getting really confused about the sand. I'm going to try one of these fancy poll thingies to see how people break out on it.



I decided to do a shallow sand bed, I like the critters that dig around in it and the natural look. I've seen some beautiful BB tanks, but I'm willing to do the extra maintenance, and forgo the corals that require such a pristine tank.



Besides the poll, I would love some advice to understand better why one is better than another. Like why you like your sand, or wish you got something else. I'm planning to use dry sand cause this is a move up from the starter tank in my sig.
