soaking fish food

Well, i feed my fish once a day after i get off work, frozen brine and mysis, give them a combo lol, and i feed twice on weekends. But anyways i keep hearing about people soaking there food in garlic to help fish get stronger, and i don't know what is meant by that, is there any link or thing i can buy to soak my food in before i feed my fish? Gotta remember im almost a 3 month old veteran in this hobby so im still new lol
