I have one of those no name protein skimmers from eBay. It's designed for a 150 gal tank with a flow rate of 530gph. I have success with the first one I bought for my 75 gal, so I bought another one for my 30 reef. I noticed 2 days ago I have a lot of micro bubbles coming from outlet of skimmer. I made sure the water level was good, I adjusted both valves that control the mixing and the output- still not fixed. I changed my water yesterday and saw that the adjustment valve on the motor is loose and can be taken off( that's where I have air coming in. I took it apart and tried to push the valve back into place but it is still loose and I still have micro bubbles. Should I give up and buy another or does anyone know of a fix for this valve?
