Kick-started my cycle with a raw shrimp. I put it in two days ago and I'm already at about 2.5 ppm of ammonia.
I started the tank with 50 lbs of cycled dry rock and 2 pounds of live rock. As far as sand, I went with about 20 lbs of Tropic Eden Reef Flakes in my 36 gallon BF.
Is his enough ammonia to get the cycle rolling? From what I've read it appears anywhere from 2-4 ppm is a good time to pull out the shrimp.
