Hey all,
I had an idea regarding acclimating coral into a new tank. Interested to know if it's a good one - or if it isn't!
I have quite a nano nano-reef. It's only 6g. Therefore the majority of the tank is quite well lit, with the exception of a small area shadowed at the back of the tank.
Being that when introducing new coral it is best to place them in a lower lit area (for most tanks just lower to the bottom), would it be beneficial to the corals if I were to leave the daylight off for a few days after their introduction, using only the blue lighting? Or would it be better to just have them around the back for a few days, and then move them into the desired location?
What do you guys do regarding this issue in nano reefs?
Thanks for reading!
Jon
