My Ocelaris Clownfish female beats the **** out of the male...

Hey, I know it's normal for the dominant female to put the male in his place but my male is like always hiding away because she beats him up so much. When I feed, every time he goes for food, she banishes him to his little cave. I make sure to spread the food so everyone gets a chance to eat and he does get some, he doesn't look stressed or anything like that, I'm just wondering if it's normal for them to have such a high level of dominance. Like... it's hard to put what I mean into words.. I understand the relationship with clownfish but I am just wondering if this is always how it's going to be, if they are doing this because they are going to spawn, if it's going to have any adverse effects on my little male? Thanks
