Elegance Owners

OK those of you whose have thriving elegance corals --- This is an Aussie that has been in the tank for 4 weeks. After the lights have been on for a while it normally opens up fantastic (except occasionally it won't open all the way for a couple of days). I noticed that the back side seemed much shorter so today I turned it around in the tank. Are these shorter tentacles new growth or is something wrong with that side? I really don't know how to tell.
