Upgrading Lighting Need Help

A while back I decided to do a DIY upgrade to my lights so i could eventually start building up my mixed reef collection. I did a lot of research on LED bulbs and the type of coloration i would get from various combinations and ended up with this setup:

14X CREE XM-L Cool White U2 LED

3X CREE XP-G2 5W Warm

15X CREE XT-E Royal Blue LED

4x CREE XP-E Blue 3W LED

2X CREE XP-E Green 3W LED

I installed the cool whites and royal blues onto my 2 24 inch heat sinks first with great success, but unfortunately when i plugged in the rest of the color LED's they all flashed at once and burned out. At first i thought i was a problem with the driver, but when testing it i found no problems. Now, almost a year later, I have decided that it is time to invest some more money and buy some more LED's because i have noticed that my coral isnt as vibrant as when i first bought it.

My questions to you guys are:

What could have caused the problem with the colored LED's?

and What other LED's should I buy for a 90 gal mixed reef?

Right now I have hammer coral, Red mushrooms, 2 different types of frogspawn, duncans, blue and red encrusting montis (top of the tank), Red shelf monti, zooanthids, and 2 lepastrea.

All of them aren't nearly as colorful as when i bought them , they have all become much more pale(except for the mushrooms).
