Hooking up RO/DI in new house question

We are in our new house, and I just brought my Ro/DI system over last night but have not hooked it up yet. I am going to run a line from my utility room to my fish room to have a sink / RO/DI hook up in the fish room, my question is, where should I hook in to?

I believe the water in the house is very high in iron, I don't have a water composition test for it, but it has a water softener and additionally has an "Iron Filter" that you have to dump Potassium permanganate in, so I assume the Iron filter is used to reduce the iron going in to the water softener.

Additionally, there are multiple filters in the house. There is a single filter in the utility room, plus a filter in the fridge for drinking water, and a dual filter under the sink for drinking water plumbed to a seperate faucet in the kitchen sink.

I haven't traced the water supply yet, but I'm assuming the water comes in and goes through the first filter (sediment filter I'm assuming), then runs through the iron filter, then through the water softener. I think I've read that using softened water will reduce the life expectancy of the RO/DI filters, so where should I tie in to? Before / after the softener? Before/after the iron filter? Before/after the sediment filter? I'm leaning towards after the sediment filter, so hopefully it removes larger particles, then the RO/DI system just deals with the smaller particles. What do you think?

I haven't tested my TDS yet, so will have to check that and post it later.
