What is going on in my tank

hi there



0ppm ammonnia

0ppm nitrite

0ppm nitrate

salinity 1.025

ph 8.0



been running for 10 days or so, no sign of cycling ever starting, been feeding fish food daily, no ammonia readings at all, have algae out break even though the lights are off and out of direct sun light, lfs suggested an emerald crab which i put in today but im afraid it might die when the cycle starts, if it ever does.



what should i do
