testing whilst cycling

hi there, i set up my reef tank a few days ago and have just done my first two tests , salinity which measures at 1.025 and ammonia at 0 ppm. should i do the other tests is well such as nitrate and nitrite and ph or do that after the ammonia spike and also how do i clean the test tubes after use and get rid of the chemical test fluid.
