I've come to find out thru talking one-on-one with a Mfgr's Rep of LEDs.....that the UV light spectrum (sub 400nm in the high 300nms) not only makes your corals look more colorful but they also "color-up" corals (say like dingy looking zoas). Hence the use of sub 400nm LEDs in new technology fixtures that are coming out.
Isn't there a single Mfgr out there that makes a sub-400 UV light strip?
I;m not talking UV sterilization in the 100-200nm....but the high 300s range that is UV.
All I'm seeing is the Ecoxotic 12.5in 403nm strip that can only be bought in 12.5in sections.....(and its truly not UV with being a hair above 400nm)
If someone knows of a UV light strip that is meant for reef corals, I'd like to know about it.
