I just got a 40 gallon Breeder to use as a sump for my 90 gallon. I also ordered a Reef Octopus NWB150. I've decided no refugium. So it seems I only need 2 sections? One for the skimmer/heaters. The other for the return. Do I want a huge return area and a smaller skimmer area?
Should the baffle be at the height requirement of the skimmer? My skimmer manual (I looked online) says 6-10" height. I'm guessing I make the first baffle 10" high, then the other 2 to stop micro bubbles. But do I even need all these baffles if my return is far away from the skimmer I got one piece of .25" acrylic that can make 2 baffles for me. I'd rather not have to buy more but I can if I need 3 baffles.
