Urchin pack mule

My tuxedo urchin is carrying a ton of crap around. He's currently sporting two astrea shells, some nori, a piece of coral and a clump of bristles from a shaving brush plant. Being smaller than a ping pong ball, he's pretty much completely invisible under his collection of trinkets.



I thought he was just checking them out and would drop them after his curiosity was satisfied, but it's been almost a week! Is this normal? Is he just a little urchin hoarder? Should I be plucking this stuff off of him?
