Cracked Bubble Magus C6

Hi,



I just received a Bubble Magus C6 skimmer which i bought from ebay and its got a crack down the side of the main chamber. I can send it back to the seller but I would rather fix it if possible as I got it for a good price and i dont want the hassle of posting it and waiting for the refund etc. Can i just smear silicone over the crack ? does the chamber have to be water/air tight or will i small crack not effect it much anyway ?
