Skimmer setup

Hello all! I'm 4 weeks into my cycle on my first saltwater tank. I bought a used setup and can't find any markings on my skimmer that came with the system. I'm finally getting some skimmate which is dark like I've read it's suppose to be. Here is a pic of my skimmer in sump.

My questions: Water level is at the gray ring, is that high enough? To me I have a lot of skimmate in tube and body of skimmer.
