Picasso Triggerfish

So I ordered a Picasso Triggerfish from Liveaquaria this week. I got it yesterday and acclimated it per the instructions. However, after swimming around for a little while he got sucked up against my maxspect gyre. He wasn't on there long as I was literally standing at the tank when it happened so I was able to reach in there and pull him off fairly quickly.

After the incident he was acting "normal" and even ate some brine shrimp and prime reef flakes. He swam around and explored more of the tank and was picking at the sand and live rock. This morning, the fish was dead. I tested my water parameters again, I tested the day before he was scheduled to arrive as well, and my water tested fine.

Is it possible he got critically injured when he got sucked up against the wavemaker or does anyone know of any issues related to triggerfish that I'm not considering. Thanks in advance.
