Cleaning LR

Hey there I am getting back into SW after a Long absence. I ve never been on a forum so I apologize if I'm doing this wrong! I am setting up my 46 gal. Bow front live sand, old LR that I have recently cooked in muriatic bath rinsed in RO water. Should I expect LR to act like Dry rock, algae spikes, PO4 release for months.....? I have not added any SW yet, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
