I have not seen any noticeable growth out of my coral lately. There are times when I see it in all my coral, and others where it just seems to stop. I think this might be due to my Ca/Alk balance. I have been looking at this calculator:

And according to it with my ~10 dKh I should have 431 Ca. My calcium is at around 480 right now. According to the calculator with 480 Ca I should have 16.8 dKh Alk... I could raise this with baking soda, but no way do I want my Alk that high.
Could this be the reason I am not seeing much growth? Thoughts on correcting this? How can I safely lower the Ca? I could cut back on water changes, but don't think I am overdoing it with those. 10% weekly. I siphon out the little sand I have and what has settled in my sump.
My birdsnests that I have look fine and are growing, it is just the acros.
