Metal Halide vs T5

I'm starting anew tank 55 gallon mixed reef with sps one clam and bubble tip anemone. Gonna have softies as well ( gonna be a 50/50 split between softies and sps) but I need a good strong powerful light. My first option aquaticlife 4bulb t5. BRS has a mh system for 240 and comes with bulb and ballast but how many would I need for that. If I go the t5 route I'm gonna put ati bulbs in there and put led as accent lighting I was even thinking of buying the marine orbit led as the accent lighting, NOT GOING TO BE MY PRIMARY LIGHT, so what do you think and what do you use.
