Lighting for blue (purple?) candy canes

A year or so ago, I purchased a cluster of green candy canes and they are doing excellently! Started with 5 heads, currently have 16 and there's some babies on the way.

They are located near the bottom of my tank and as mentioned, doing very well.

A few months later, I got these blue (or purple--I guess it depends on the lights) candy canes, pretty much in the same location as the green ones, and they've kind of been stable but not doing much. The green ones were like that for months and then one night I noticed their polyps out and started feeding them and they took off.

With the blue/purple one, I'm wondering if moving the blue/purples up closer to the light would have a reaction on them? Now, I know what you're saying, "Why doesn't the lazy bum just do it and find out?" Well, I've got them located in such a way that getting them out would be a royal pain in the a--, so I'm wondering if anybody out there thinks this might be a good thing to try. I'm a bit of a novice, so not sure if the coloration difference has anything to do with light preference--can't find anything so far.

Thanks!
