I am in the process of re-vamping a 115 gallon acryllic cube aquarium. It had a huge wet dry filter under it and I am designing a sump to put in its place. It is a 32x32 in square cabined with an interior height of about 27 inches. There are moveable center supports which limits the size of sump that can be placed. I want to maximize my capacity and allow lots of room for skimmer, probes, fugue, etc. My husband and I cooked up a crazy idea that is either totally stupid or genius. Can we design and have an L shaped sump? this would allow ease of access, max water and center support room. Are we totally misunderstanding the whole concept or would this work beautifully?
