Hey doc-
I have a 60 cube, heavily stocked reef/seahorse tank. About 3 months ago, I placed a reef octopus lss 1000 skimmer on it. After three months, even with heavy feedings, I have yet to clean out the skimmer cup. I have it in 7 inches of water, with the water/bubble level set at the collection cup.
In speaking with reef octopus, they made it sound like it is too big of a skimmer, and it needs to be on less than a 90.
In your opinion, could I still make this work, or should I look into getting a smaller skimmer?
thanks
