Thursday night i came into the room where the tank is to find the floor all wet, searched for the source of the water to find a huge crack in the base of the 125g tank, so i had to work fast and move my fish.
i took all the equipment out of the 25g sump cleaned it and move all the rock to it (so now its heavily stocked with rock) with all the star fish in them and moved some of the fish to it.
the fish moved to the sump are:
a dart fish.
a firefish.
yellow wrasse (which i wanna know if it is possible for it to live with no sand bed?).
4 smal blue chromis.
than i moved the sand to 2 containers and a little of the sand to a third container with water and moved the sandsifting star and snails to it. but the container is too small to put wave on it so no water movement.
and moved the clownfish to a 15 gallon tank which i was cycling for 2 months now so i had to moved them to it without testing the water but the tank wasnt ready so i lost both of them.
and i gave away to the store two fish:
blue tang and yellow tang.
now i have some questions:
will the wrasse make it in the sump with no sandbed to hide in?
will my fish in the sump and starfish make it until i get a new tank? and what should i do to keep the water gd for them?
and would the sand sifting sea star and the snails make it in the container with the sand bed with no water movement? and also what can i do for them?
note: the fish may stay in the current position for a month or maybe two until i get a new tank.
