Hello everyone ,
hi I am new to Reefing , setted up my new tank threeday before :) a bit of info about my tank and hopefully will get some help along the way. I have a 40 gallon tank with fluval 306 filter and live sands and 30% live rock and 70% dry rock . Used tap water with prime solution to decholirnate the water and also Used reef crystal salt. I decided to test the parameter for last three days to check for cycle and my parameter reading are below
High range ph- 8ppm
Ammonia - .25ppm
Nitrite- 0ppm
Nitrate - 0ppm
Calcium- 480 ppm
Alkanity- 15dkh
Phosphate - .25ppm
. My question being, Usually in a new tank during the cycle ammonia should spike up and go down but mine is been same for last three days ,should I wait for another week and see for the spike ? Also my live rock turning white in colour so don't know what to do there . Any help would be grateful
