I've been reading lots of threads about algae on sand beds. I am doing my best to lower nutrient loads. But I still get what some call the uglies after 8 months running. I also have green algae on my white rocks (not LR).
It's a 95 gallon corner with a 25 gallon sump.
UV, skimmer, wet dry sump, phosban reactor running.
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5-10 depending
Ammonia 0
pH 8'2
Sal 1.024-26
Temp 77
2 clowns
1 cleaner shrimp
3 new purple eye anthias
3 blue green chromis
1 red flame
I try to siphon vac the sand but end up with a lot of sand coming out. It's not working. Anybody have suggestions?
