I have been having an algae nightmare for almost 6 months now! I have an established tank (2.5 years) which started have some algae problems after a move. Around October I started with the most awful hair algae problem where I was literally ripping the stuff off every day. I tried almost everything in the book before resorting to the last resort 6 weeks ago of dosing with chemicals (Redsea max stuff). Sure enough the hair algae has gone, but in its place is horrible brown stuff (almost bubble like a bits) across all the rocks, sand, corals the lot! What is this brown stuff, and any advice on how to remove?
