Hi Everyone,
New to the website so I thought I would say hello.
I've had fresh and saltwater tanks for 20 years but I have never had a reef tank, so I have driven off the deep end and purchased the following:
75gal drilled tank with stand and canopy
Eshopps 100gal wet/dry sump filter
Danner Supreme Aqua-Mag 9.5 Return Pump (950gph)
AquaMaxx ConeS CO-1 In-Sump Protein Skimmer
2 AquaIllumination Prime LED Lights
XF130 Maxspect Gyre Generator Flow Pump
Carib Sea Arag-Alive Substrate, Hawaiian Black, 80lb.
Still looking to determine what mix/type of live/dry rock I want to use and where to buy it. LFS price for LR is 5.99 a pound.
Short term plan is to get tank up and running with live rock and sand then add a few fish (clowns and maybe chromius) once everything is stabilized in about a month. After that I would like to start with a few anemone and maybe soft corals if all is going well.
Any feedback or ideas are welcome .
Regards,
Tim Armstrong
