After running my tank for two years now, I'm finally getting tired of lugging 5 gallon buckets back and forth from the LFS to get my RO/DI.
I had been set of getting the Spectrapure refurbished 90 GPD unit that so many on here recommend, but I was talking to the owner of my LFS last night (great, knowledgeable guy)and he was recommending a 50 GPD unit from AquaFX.
His justification was that I would never need to use the full 90 GPD capacity of the Spectrapure and that the replacement filters for the 50 GPD units are much cheaper. I only use ~10 gallons of RO/DI per week with water changes and my ATO for my 29g, so this has me intrigued.
What do you guys think? Either way, I'm in an apartment and there's nowhere for me to hook it up permanently, so it will have to be hooked up to my kitchen faucet. Other than a TDS meter (preferably inline), what else might I need to get one of these systems up and running?
Thanks!
