Hello Reefers,
My question is what causes strange algae blooms?? I know every tank is acceptable to algae growth overtime, But what causes green, brown and red algae to bloom? Right now my tank has mostly purple algae (coralline algae) But recently weird algae's have started to bloom, like red, brown, green. I'm guessing this is a cause of my lack of water changes on the tank. I'm just wondering if I was to get maintenance to peek performance would this stop those strange algae's and Would I see more coralline growth? If not does it have anything to do with lighting?
