Mg, Alk & Ca - How much and when to dose? before or after WC?

I understand that we need to maintain the level of these 3 params as follow:

• Mg 1300 ~ 1350
• Alk 8.0 ~ 8.5
• Ca 420 ~ 450

and consistency is the key :spin1:

To understand the uptake, my understanding is I need to do:

1. Get a starting point (i.e. after weekly WC)
2. Leave it running as is for 1 full week
3. Get an ending point (i.e. before weekly WC)
4. Do at least 2 cycles then determine the uptake of corals for 1 week

The thing that confuse me a bit ... if I dose before weekly WC (to bring it up to the level that I want) then do WC, wouldn't the WC skew my params?

or should I dose after weekly WC? but if this is the case, should the above ending point should be tested after weekly WC, to get accurate picture after WC what level am I at?
