Filter media for a SPS tank suggestions

I have a Nuvo 20 that's been setup and running for a few months now and levels seem to be pretty consistent.

Nitrate 7.5 mg/l
Temp 78
Salinity 1.025 Sg
Nitrite 0 mg/l
Alkalinity 3.6 dKH
Ph 8.2 ph

I've got 25 lbs live sand 20 lbs live rock and radion 30 LED

I was not going to run a skimmer and just rely on water changes but I decided it can't hurt. I am also thinking of running a reactor but not sure what media would be best for a mainly SPS tank. I haven't added any pieces yet, just want to get the best water before hand. Thanks for the help
