Hello!
I was trying to find a general coral thread but couldn't, so I figured I might post here and see if anyone knew.
I was given two frags to try in my aquarium, but I don't know what they are. Was really hoping to figure out what they are so I could better take care of them. Hadn't had too many issues with them until now.
I was told the first one is stylophora but I can't find anything that looks like it online. The supposed "stylophora" doesn't look great. Basically you can see all the small circlish shapes in the stone, those come out when its happy. But they haven't come out in a bit so I can't take a picture of them when they are out and it has me worried. They are brown in color and are little fingers with a sort of crown on top when they are out.
I have no idea what the second one is, that one I've had for awhile and it hasn't turned white which I think is good. But it likes to catch a lot of crud it looks like. I cleaned it off a week ago and it already looks like this. Under the crud its sort of purplish and its hard, only the top part is the actual coral.
Any guesses?
