So my rescued brain coral looks like it is splitting!
It has two mouths, and is perfectly healthy. Each mouth eats on its own, and seems relatively independent from the other.
History:
I got this coral in terrible condition (Ripped flesh, receding skeleton) a month ago and have carefully nurtured it back to health.
During the hospitalization, I sanded back the edges of the skeleton to avoid the coral from cutting itself on the rough edges. Could this have encouraged the splitting?
You'll notice that the flesh in the middle seems to be forming two seperate "heads" (Or corals?), so is this a natural phenomena?
Its psychological state is a mess; it has PTSD from its days of being abused by a Tang and then the Dremeling!
