bright lights! difference between quad t5 ho bulbs and led lights

Hello all I'm trying to figure out which is better or brighter, t5 ho quad bulbs or

led lights? I heard that the led lights use less energy and arent as hot but which

is brighter and for a price range of no more than 250$ for a 24" system. I had

a deep blue solarmax xtreme t5 quad h.o lighting system, which was very good

for the first 15 months and then it kicked the bucket just like the one before it.

I hate that this system isnt reliable but when it worked it was great. With all

that said, I'm looking for something as bright as that or better.
