Ugh, one of my lights died today. Need advice on new ones

I have a 150G tank. 72 inches long, 18 inch wide, 27 inch height.

I'm not sure when I bought it. 2002 I think. So it's around 13 years old.

Just this week, I ordered a spiffy new Reef Octopus Regal 150SSS Skimmer and a couple more power heads to place to replace some that went out.. haven't even received them yet.

I had also decided to replace the 13 year old T-12 bulb light fixtures, and had already started doing some research into it.

Luckily I had, cause today one of the fixtures died... could smell burning wires and stuff (no, nothing was wet..just 13 years old).

Sooo.. anyways. UGH.. prices on those LED's are STUPID. I don't know if i want to go that route. What do y'all think it would cost to replace both sides of lights with LEDs? 2 grand?

So, I was looking at getting this fixture..

it's the AquaticLife 72 Inch 8x39 Watt T5 HO Light Fixture w/ 6 Lunar LEDs for $530.

Would that work pretty good for my tank? I would rather not spend a fortune, but I'd rather spend more now, then to get something that doesn't light the tank enough and I have to replace..

Do you suggest something else?

I need to make a decision this weekend, and order Monday morning...

O, also, I have glass lids on the tank. Those need to stay. I've had some of those fish 6 or 7 years..and they are big now, and can really splash the water.
