Hey Guys,
So I set up a new tank 150 gallons 4 month ago.
I moved my 35 gallon tank in there, and bought another 100lbs of live rock.
This "live" rock was out of aquarium for a good month in a bin.
After cycling the tank the first month, I read no more ammonia. Cycle completed
4 month into it, coral fish, water parameters are all doing good! nothing is dying and flourishing.
BUT, Boy do I have a problem with Algae.. Reduced my lights now to 6 hours a day, and helped, but not still a lot!
What do you guys recommend? maybe remove some of it and let the rest clean itsself out?
Algae problem goes like this, if I do a really nice water change a full clean out today, within 24 hours my sand is already 25% covered in algae. Glass needs cleaning once every 3 days..
No coraline algae yet
