Water Parameters - low dKH

I've done so much reading and research on this, and in the end - I'm starting to believe that the best indicator that things are "fine" with water parameters is the health of everything in the tank.

I say this because just doing a full battery of tests, even though my levels aren't ideal - fish, coral and inverts all seem to be doing fantastic. I actually haven't seen the mushrooms and LPS look so full/healthy.

All levels are perfect, with the exception of:

Magnesium a bit low (1200)

pH a bit low (8.0)

...but the concern (and the reason I'm posting this) is the dKH which has been steady at 6.

pH swings range from 7.8 to 8.1...so nothing drastic.

If everything is healthy - is there really any reason to be concerned? I've read comments such as "low dKH will be detrimental 'over time'"......so even though everything looks great now, am I on a path to trouble later???

Is there anyone else that notices their dKH reading being low but everything else fine, health of reef fine, etc? No problems? Should I be concerned?

Thanks

p.s. I'm using Instant Ocean Reef Crystals, and after mixing a fresh batch - let the water circulate and salt dissolve for 24 hours, using RO/DI water with a TDS reading of 000.....measuring dKH reads only 8.
