My Xenia has got some strange looking lesions on it and is looking quite thin in the stalk this morning, and polyps aren't extended like usual. I've never had a coral melt on me before, so I'm curious if someone can tell me if that is whats actually happening?
Several of my other LPS corals are looking a little unhappy as well, just not opening up as much as they normally do.
My tank specs as of last night are:
s.g. 1.023
ph: 8.2
alk: 7.4
ca: 430
nitrate: 5
nitrite: 0
ammonia: my test ran out but I assume it's 0 due the the nitrite reading
I dose kalk through a drip system that releases it mixed with ro water over the period of several hours.
I've had this coral for the better part of 2 years and never had any trouble, and haven't changed anything in the last two weeks or so, does anyone have any idea whats going on?
