T-5s need a reflector?

So thinking of adding a 80 watt T-5 bulb to my 175 gallon. Right now it's running 3 Oceanrevive S026 fixtures. They do provide a lot of light. Only have them around 30% full spectrum and 65% actinic. Just not that happy with the colors of some my corals. Been thinking a t5 might be just what I need. So I ordered some T-5 end caps, 5 foot reflector and a 80 watt ATI coral plus bulb. Think I can make a mount for it on the side of the LEDs. But I could mount the bulb right down the center with no reflector. The reflector will block some leds if I mount it down the center. Any thoughts??

Also I was planning on using a old Icecap 660 ballast laying in my extra parts shelve. Reading some bad reviews with Icecap and T-5s. Should I just get a new ballast?
